The image above is a familiar face to those who interested in LG Optimus F5. Yes. It is indeed is the LG Optimus F5 that was launched recently. But it has a Verizon logo on the top left corner. So, the LG Optimus F5 will be transformed into LG Lucid 2 that exclusively available at Verizon only. 


LG Lucid 2 has an 4.3-inch IPS display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixels main camera, 1.3-megapixel secondary camera and 2150mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and supported 4G LTE network of Verizon.

LG has just announced something it should proud about as it has sold more than 10 million units of 4G LTE device worldwide. Recently, LG has been consistently releasing 4G LTE devices to different regions around the world. 


One of its main weapons is the LG Optimus G that was launched recently in the global market. The LG Optimus G isn't just a powerful device but it has blazing fast 4G LTE connectivity on board. LG confirms that it is going to explore more 4G LTE market around the world and eager to release more 4G LTE devices as well. Furthermore, LG planned to introduce more affordable 4G LTE devices in the near future.

(GSM Insider) - Qualcomm Introduces World First LTE Chip That Compatible With All LTE Networks In The World - RF360.

Qualcomm is quite busy ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2013 as more products coming out from the world's largest mobile processor maker. Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 200 and Snapdragon 400 Series mobile processors on yesterday. 

Today, Qualcomm officially announces the Qualcomm RF360 which is said to be the first LTE chip to compatible with every LTE network in the world. Qualcomm’s RF360 chip will support all seven cellular frequencies, which include LTE-FDD, LTE-TDD, WCDMA, EV-DO, CDMA 1x, TD-SCDMA and GSM/EDGE.

In the future, the iPhone could feature the RF360 LTE Chip. So that the iPhone able to work on the LTE networks across the globe. We might see the future iPhone available at China Mobile. The RF360 is available on second half of 2013.

(GSM Insider) - Apple Grabbed 27% of Global LTE Device Market, But Samsung Remains On Top With 40%

The introduction of LTE-enabled iPhone 5 certainly brings success for Apple in the LTE device market. It has been months since the launched of iPhone 5 and the results surfaced.

In the latest numbers released by Strategic Analytics, the leader of global LTE device remains the same which is the Samsung. However, the market share of Samsung decreases from 50.9% to 40% in third quarter. The market share of Apple increases to 26.7% that allowed it to stand at second place. The third is LG with 9.1% while Pantech holds 5.8%. 


This clearly showed that the LTE device is getting popular in the coming future. With more countries interested to introduce the 4G LTE networks, this will bring more sale for manufacturer with LTE devices.

Celcom Malaysia Is Upgrade Its Own 4G LTE Network

(GSM Insider) - While Digi Malaysia already deploying the 4G LTE network months ago, its time for Celcom Malaysia to deploy its own 4G LTE for the Malaysian market. It is the time for 4G LTE going to conquer the world very soon.


Is Celcom Malaysia has 4G LTE network? The answer is Yes. Very soon. How about Maxis Malaysia? Perhaps we will getting news from them soon. It is important to remain competitive in the market. Who will benefited from Celcom's 4G LTE network? First of all will be the Celcom subscribers. Second, U Mobile subscribers might have chances to use the 4G LTE network too. This is because currently U Mobile Malaysia is sharing network tower with Celcom. However, we cannot confirm on this matter yet.

Samsung Galaxy S III LTE I9305 Benchmark Results Look Impressive

(GSM Insider) - Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE I9305 just arrived at Hong Kong along with Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 and Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100. This is the upgrade version of Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300. So now lets see the benchmarks of Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE I9305 at below.

From this AnTuTu benchmark result, it is quite weird as a quad-core smartphone only scores below 8000 points. We can clearly see the information there show it comes with 1.4GHz quad-core and a Mali-400 MP GPU. So it is hard to know whats wrong there. (Already tested a few times and the result still the same).

Intel Set To Launch New 4G LTE Devices With Medfield By Year End

(GSM Insider) - You might dont know one thing, Intel Medfield does not support 4G LTE network at the moment. This means that LAVA XOLO X900 in India, Lenovo LePhone K800 in China, Megafon Mint in Russia, Orange San Diego in UK, ZTE Grand X IN for Europe and the recent Motorola RAZR i for Europe and South America are not support 4G LTE network. 



All these smartphones do not available at the United States market due to the issue that Intel Medfield processor does not support the 4G LTE network. Majority of carriers in the United States having 4G LTE network. 

According to Intel executive Sumeet Syal, Intel set to launch new 4G LTE devices by end of 2012. While next year, they will launch more 4G LTE devices to the market for expansion. She wrapped up her interviews by stated that Intel is satisfied with the improvement in mobile market as they entered the market not long ago.   [Source]

Apple Purchases 4G LTE Patents, Set To Compete With Samsung In 4G LTE Market


(GSM Insider) - After Samsung loses the lawsuit against Apple, they threaten to sue Apple if they release LTE-enabled devices. According to sources, Apple successfully purchased 4G LTE patents and set to compete with Samsung soon. 

At the moment, Apple owns 318 patents of 4G LTE. 44 patents were own developed and others are purchase from other companies. 

Samsung still leading the 4G LTE patents with 819 patents which equal to 12.7%, follows by InterDigital, and Huawei. Apple only owns 4.9% of 4G LTE patents. Therefore, Apple needs to work harder for more patents for them to fight with Samsung in the future. [Source]

Leaked Images Suggest Samsung Stratosphere 2 and LG Spectrum 2 Coming To Verizon




(GSM Insider) - Seems like another two smartphones heading to the Verizon Wireless of the United States -- Samsung Stratosphere 2 (II) i415 4G LTE and LG Spectrum 2 VS930 4G LTE. 

It the latest Equipment Guide of Verizon, the LG Spectrum 2 VS930 4G LTE comes with Snapdragon Dual-Core Processor, 1GB of RAM, HD display and 8MP rear camera.

For the Samsung Stratosphere 2 (II) i415 4G LTE, it comes with Snapdragon S4 processor, 4 inch Super AMOLED display, side sliding Qwerty Keyboard, Bluetooth and GPS.
