Lithium-ion Battery Of Samsung Smartphone On Fire And Causes Second-degree Burns

(GSM Insider) - Battery Of Samsung Smartphone On Fire And Causes Second-degree Burns.

The news below isn't about the device on fire. It was the battery that on fire.

According to news from Korea, a man suffered burns after the battery that belongs to Samsung smartphone caught fire in his trouser pocket. 

Officials from Korea said that the lithium-ion battery wasn't in the phone when it caught fire. The lithium-ion battery always has overheating issue in the past.

The victim suffered second-degree burns and left a one inch wound on his thigh. The Korean newspaper reported that the battery belongs to the original Samsung Galaxy Note. But the Korean officials couldn't confirm that. 

At the moment, Samsung is yet to respond to this accident. At least we knew that the lithium-ion battery that in our smartphone is prone to overheating. Be careful everyone.

Google Nexus 7 Tablet Explodes, Caught On Fire And Melted [Ugly Photos Attached]

(GSM Insider) - Warning: Dont view the photos at below if you are having meal, it might cause you to throw up everything. This is the real incident that happened to the Google Nexus 7 tablet.











According to the China forum user, the Nexus 7 tablet charging as usual with the original charging adapter, and it suddenly caught on fire and the whole tablet melted.

From the photos attached, you can imagine the incident as the whole Nexus 7 tablet turned into a burnt toast. Just like you put on extra temperature for extra time when you having the toast in the early morning. 

You can also see that the back casing of the Nexus 7 melted. This was probably caused by the battery explosion under the cover. No doubt about this. The Nexus logo also gone as well. 

After Asus found out this matter, new replacement tablet sent to the owner and they apologized for this incident. Since it is an electronic device, there are certain degrees that it might explodes and caught on fire. Just depends on luck and use your device safety. We hope that there will be such incident on the LG Nexus 4 or Nexus 10 from Samsung.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Explodes and Burnt, The Plastic Casing Melted



(GSM Insider) - This looks bad. The Samsung Galaxy S3 malfunctioned while placed at in-car holster, leading to the plastic case melting and burn marks across the lower half of the device. The Samsung Galaxy S3 international version sparked into while flames and explodes. This is not the first time smartphone explodes or caught on fire. The phone owner came from Ireland and the device purchased from Carphone Warehouse. It is currently under the autopsy to investigate the real reason.
