(GSM Insider) - Qualcomm Still Ahead of Intel In Mobile Market, Says Qualcomm CEO.

The power of Snapdragon processors from Qualcomm no longer in doubt as they powered millions of mobile devices around the world. On the other hand, Intel is dominating the PC market with its processor. Recently, Intel entered the mobile market with its Intel Atom processor.

In the recent interview with QQ Tech, Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs gives his view on the mobile market. He stated that the mobile market and pc market are truly different. He admits that Intel is a competitive rival but Qualcomm remains ahead in the mobile market.

Qualcomm owned 42% of the mobile processor market while the rest divided between Intel, Samsung, ST-Ericsson, Huawei, MediaTek and other companies. In other words, Qualcomm is dominating the mobile processor market and far ahead of rivals.

Snapdragon 800 is the latest processor from Qualcomm. It is clocked up to 2.3GHz. On the other hand, Lenovo IdeaPhone K800 is the first Intel Clover Trail+ device. It scores more than 26,000 points at benchmark. Probably highest points to-date.
